SUMMARY:Downtown Tulip Planting 2025
DESCRIPTION:In the last couple of years\, local volunteers have been planting 15\,000 tulip bulbs in Windmill Park in downtown Orange City. \nThis year a few new things will be tried. Nora Mulder and John Buntsma\, lead volunteers\, have watched the beds get better each year. \n“Our goal is to make next spring’s tulips look the best ever\,” they said. \nUp to a dozen volunteers have helped with planting the bulbs in the past. There is room for even more volunteers. Plans for this year are to plant bulbs starting at 1pm & early evening on Oct. 24 and the morning of Oct. 25 (8:30 am start time). All the bulbs will find a home in their winter nests in just a few hours. \nRain Dates: October 31st & November 1st \nSo\, what’s the secret. Come to the park to find out on our planting dates. Be prepared to join a fun group of volunteers. Bring a garden trowel and your friends along
