Library Trivia Night
Think you’re smarter than a librarian? Come prove it during National Library Week at an evening of trivia and riddles at Kweken Co.! Library staff will be hosting a trivia night, featuring some beloved classic book trivia, as well as other literary topics. Gather your book worm friends and family, and come prepared for an evening of fun on April 24 at 6:30 pm!

Oksana Baranovska Cookbook Author Talk
Come learn about cooking, and writing a cookbook! Oksana Baranovska is an Orange City resident with two degrees from Odesa National University, one in Food Engineering and one in Accounting, and has written two cookbooks. Her first published cookbook is called “The Complete Mediterranean Cookbook: 150 Quick & Healthy Recipes for Busy Beginners + 30-day Meal Plan,” and her second cookbook features recipes that can be made with an air fryer. She is also working on a healthy desserts cookbook.
At this event, you will get the chance to learn about cooking, as well as her writing process in collecting and developing new recipes for her cookbooks!

Choose Health NW Iowa Program at Orange City Area Hospital System
Community Health Partners, along with all Sioux County healthcare systems, are partnering to offer an 8-session weight loss and diabetes prevention program, “Choose Health NW Iowa,” with the goal of preventing diabetes in NW Iowa and promoting healthy and informed lifestyle choices. Classes will be on Thursdays from 5:15-6:30pm at Orange City Area Health System. Cost is $40 for individuals or $60/pair if you sign up with a partner. The dates for this program are February 19th and 26th, March 5,12,19,26 and April 9th and 23rd

This course, an 8-session weight loss and diabetes prevention class, is aimed at preventing diabetes in NW Iowa and promoting healthy and informed lifestyle choices. It is taught by nurses and dieticians from the four hospitals in Sioux County and Promise CHC. This program is available to anyone of any age who wants to improve their overall health.
